Upgrading to 8.1. What SSD?

Considering on upgrading to Windows 8.1 and getting a new SSD as my current one is outdated as hell. Samsung 850 Pro or save $60 and just get a 840 EVO.?

It will mainly be for music, pictures and programs (and the OS of course). Videos and Games are on other HDDs.

The 840 EVO will work just fine.

Music and pics don't really benefit living on the SSD. What size are you contemplating?

Probably just 250GB. I'm currently getting a long ok with my current 128GB but I only have 13.4 GB left.

The 250GB 840 EVO will work just fine. I recently bought two of those.
