I had my personal rig for about 4-5 years already and i would like to get a beasty pc or a build that is based around AMD. I don't like how much hype Intel gets and i want to help out AMD by buying their stuff and i have seen good benchmark results with its FX 8-core CPUs. I would mainly use the pc for streaming, little video editing and 3d animating. Would play games with lots of mods, like Skyrim, Fallout, Minecraft, where i think more cores is necessary.
My question, what is the best processor for a 1080p build, which can handle multitasking, video editing, moded games, that is based around the AMD FX 8xxx series CPU, overclocked as high as i can with an AIO? The RX 480 is almost here, I'm thinking about tossing it in the rig. Maybe in Crossfire. AMD at all cost.
My current pc:
AMD FX 4130 OC'd to 4,2 GHZ
CoolerMaster Hyper TX3 EVO CPU cooler
Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3 motherboard
Corsair XMS3 DDR3 Memory stick (2x4GB)
Geforce GTX 650 Core Clock + 140MHz
iARENA GPA-500S8 PSU
Maxtor 320GB HDD
And 1080p 60Hz Refresh rate LG M2232 monitor

I clearly understand that you want to buy AMD, good on you. I just want to say that it's not hype if the product genuinely performs better.

If you absolutely must buy AMD, don't shoot yourself in the foot by buying an 8xxx series processor. Wait for Zen to come out because if the chipset changes and you've bought yourself an AM3+ motherboard you're not going to be able to upgrade.

Well, Intel's IPC and Single-threaded performance are definitely NOT just hype.

Skyrim, Fallout, Minecraft are not well-threaded games. Probably not a good idea to switch to an 8-core for these. This will change if you plan on playing DX12 games, especially on higher resolutions. They'll probably be a good upgrade from the 4130 and considering how cheap the 8300 is, I think it's a good idea to give it a go.
