Upgrading to a 27 inch Monitor...Any Cons?

I've been using a Asus 24 inch LED monitor primarily for gaming (FPS of course and a little NBA 2k12) ...Monitor is solid for the price and performs pretty good however the display is just to small coming from a 42 inch TV. I was considering upgrading to a 27 inch monitor instead. I'm just wondering would there be any extra Input Lag upgrading to a bigger monitor? I've heard people talking about clarity issues also....Just wondering.

If you sit the same distance from the monitor then the 27" will look grainier than the 24".

Again, if your 24" monitor has the same 1920 x 1080 resolution as the 27", then the 27" will look WORSE at the same distance because the pixels are larger on the 27".

However, the Dell mentioned above has a resolution of 2560 x 1440, so it WILL look better than the 24".

I'm researching as I type this man to see what decent priced 27 inch monitors are out there. I may have to get used to the TV itself instead of getting another one this early.
