Upgrading to a better GPU

Hey guys, just needed some confirmation or advice.

From what I understand my current graphics card (GT 620) is really bad, and I'd like to upgrade it. However when looking into it, I was told to upgrade cards I would also need a new PSU. I've done a bit of research but I came here just to make sure everything was correct and that I wouldn't need anything else.

My current power supply is 300W (http://www.asus.com/us/Desktops/M51AC#specifications), and I've got 2 x PCI Express x1 and 2 x PCI Express x16 slots (http://www.amazon.com/existing-cards-board-drive-monitors/forum/Fx3O6NZV5WSHVMH/Tx3KYNJ4XQ3QMXB/1/ref=cm_cd_ql_tlc_al?_encoding=UTF8&asin=B00D440SYW).

I'd like to upgrade to the GTX 770 (http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-SuperClocked-Graphics-02G-P4-2774-KR/dp/B00CZIQXBA/ref=sr_1_8?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1390830276&sr=1-8&keywords=graphics+card), along with a Corsair HX 750W (http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Professional-Series-Modular-HX750/dp/B0090I9VZI/ref=pd_sim_pc_9).

Is this fine? Could I make a better decision? Anything else I need (do I need to upgrade the cooling system)? Anything important I should know about assembling/disassembling (I've been looking at newegg computer assembly tutorials for this)

Excellent choice in both. Very good quality parts. You don't necessarily need to spend that much on the psu to get the results you want, but part wise they are good.

Okay thanks, and I don't need any other part? Such as cooling? These parts with fit easily (with the PCI slots)?

Honestly, what I would do, is drop some money off your PSU and get a new case designed for gaming. How many fans does your current case have?

Edit: or save up $50 for a decent case.

I'm not sure how many fans it has. Would it be complicated to move everything from this case into a new one?

No, you'll be taking out the gpu anyways so you can just leave the RAM and CPU in the mobo when moving it. It will be a good learning experience too if you ever try to build one in the future, get you familiar with the parts. If you decide to go this route I'd be happy to help you out or give you some pointers on how to go about it.

Okay I'd like to start out with the card and PSU to see how it works out. Since I'm getting the GTX 770 and it requires at least 600W, should I get a 600W power supply or is it not enough?
Could you link me to a good power supply that would work along with the GTX 770? Thanks.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139048 This is the best price to quality one right now. Don't listen to people who say the cx series is crap. The original ones were, but this is version 2.3, look up any reviews for v2.0 and after, all good.
