Upgrading to a GTX 1060 3GB or 6GB

My current setup is:

MSI A68HM-E33 V2
AMD A8-6600K APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics 3.9GHz
GeForce GTX 650 1GB
8GB DDR3 RAM

(First sorry for my bad english)
I don't have much knowledge when it comes to upgrading PC. I want to upgrade to GTX 1060 but my cpu and mobo is too old. What upgrade do I need to do?

Can I still upgrade my current setup so I can save some money?

If changing all of my setup is my only way how much can I sell all of it? Any suggestion will be accepted thanks.

Lastly I want to play 1080 smoothly.

It wouldn't make economical sense to put anything above GTX 1050/1050Ti or AMD Rx 460/560 on that system. On sensible settings you should have a good play at 1080p.
