Hello Everyone

I have decided that I wanted to upgrade from a GTX 970 to a GTX 1080, but due to past experiences I am unsure on whether or not my PC will support it.

Here are my specs (Speccy)

OS: Windows 10
CPU: Intel Core i7 5960X @ 3.00GHz
RAM: 16gb @ 1065MHz
Motherboard: ASUS X99-DELUXE (SOCKET 2011)
(Current) Graphics Card: NVidia GTX 970
Power Supply: Corsair RM850W

The specific Brand I wish to upgrade to is the MSI GeForce GTX 1080 Gaming X 8GB Video Card.

Thank you in advance for any answers, and apologies if a similar setup has been answered in another thread.

If more information is needed I will be happy to oblige.

Thanks

Yes, it is compatible with motherboard, and your PSU is compatible too. One last thing to check is if your case has enough space for the new card.

Awesome! Thank you very much for your help!
