hello :)
i have the following
cpu : phenom 2 x4 955be oc to 3.9
gpu : sapphire r9 270 2gb dual x
Mb : gigabyte 990 xa ud3
psu : cooler master 525 extreme 2

lately i tried to play the evil within and found that my phenom is not enough to play that game on 1080 ultra setting side by side with my gpu but when i oc my phenom i found some effects in the game performance and i gained like 7 fps and it is working now on ultra 1080 average 45 fps
and i decided to upgrade one of my parts now and the other will be later but i do not know which one i should go frist

upgrading my phenom to fx 8320 ? or upgrading my r9 270 to r9 280x ?
which one should i go frist for now ?

Solution
It can handle your current system, but I personally wouldn't risk your components without upgrading your PSU.

If you really really want, upgrade your CPU now since the FX-8320 is only $110 on Amazon, see if it runs without problems. After all, the TDP of your current CPU and this CPU is the same, although the max power draw of the FX-8320 will definitely be higher. If you experience sudden system shutdowns after upgrading, your PSU can't handle the load. But whatever you do, don't upgrade your GPU also without changing the power supply. You will burn it, and possibly more components along with it.

so you think cpu will get more more performance at the time more than my gpu

I second that. Didn't realise the PSU until it was brought up.

omg i have it now for about year and half and i didnt get any problem , how can i know if it deliver the 525 ? and it is expensive psu i chose it just to handle the mobo and the gpus i will give ! its name is cooler master EX2 525 .. is that what you talk about ?
