Hey guys,

Lately I've been starting to think about buying a new card since I've been able to juice out every little bit of performance out of my 6970 and I'm starting to feel like I need an upgrade. At my local computer shop, they have Gigabyte GTX 670 (link is below) that I've had my eye on so I'm asking, is it worth it to go out and buy the 670 or wait and get the next generation of cards. I mostly play ArmA 2, Battlefield 3, Far Cry 3 and a few other really demanding games and I want to be able to push 60 FPS all the time, which I can't really do right now. So what do you guys think?

My 6970 is running on a Arctic Accelero Xtreme 3 cooler @980 MHz on the core and 1450 MHz on the memory at 1.2V. Other important specs are a i5 3570k @4 GHz, 8GB DDR3 1600 MHz and my monitor is a Samsung P2370H 1080p.

My personal opinion, i'll wait for Radeon 8000 series (or 700 series for geforce). 6970 is not that bad i think, it should be produce decent frame rate with medium-high setting. But if you have the money, the choice is yours buddy :). Anyway you can sell your GTX 670 later and upgrade to 8000 or 700 series when they out

If your pc specs is right and you think you "NEED" to upgrade now go for the 670..If you can wait on the 700 series that would be cool to so u can weigh your options but the 670 is a sick card. Honestly tho with the time line i would wait due to 700 is sorta right around the corner in a few months

It's worth it you will be able to play BF3 60FPS Far Cry 3 45-50FPS avg.
