So my pc is a few years old, and has done me well, but it's time to upgrade. Here are my current specs:
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3P
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 945 (3.0Ghz)
RAM: 16gb kingston (4x4gb) DDR3 ram
Graphics: Gigabyte GTX260 4gb

I mainly want to upgrade for gaming as many newer games run ok, but not at the standard I'd like. Some games I'd like to play list the minimum requirements higher than I have, so i've not ever tried them.

I'm thinking of upgrading to a GTX960 but don't have a huge budget, so looking for advice on whether i'd be better off upgrading my Motherboard/CPU. Would there be any point upgrading just the graphics card?

I don't have an exact budget, but the GTX960 is around AU$300 and I was hoping to not spend much more than that. Any suggestions are welcome! Thanks.

if you dont want to spend that much money, you can get the 960, and whenever you feel like you want to buy something, upgrade your platform. skyalke is just around the corner, and it looks very compeling, you might want to look into that.
