Upgrading to i7 4790k with this motherboard. Is it okay?

Any downsides from this motherboard? I know its cheaper but I have a budget.
Its fine on pcpartpicker with no issues so it seems fine to buy?

I assume it will have slower clock speeds and stuff but can you guys inform me of issues?

The downside is the very weak power circle for the CPU.
Don't expect high overclocks

the best way to answer this question is to look at the CPU compatibility list, on the website for the mobo, it's just good practice to check, BUT 99% certain that you'll be ok from a CPU point of view.

With regards to RAM, it's DDR3 ram, it's a DDR3 mobo so you are fine.

Gotta ask - why get a z mobo and k cpu if you arent going to OC? Just want higher base clock of the k?
