I am about to select a new Graphics Card. Here is what I have now.
Win 10
MSI 1GB GT 730 Graphic card
CPU AMD FX 8350
Asrock 970m pro3 Motherboard
Corsair 750 watt PS
WD 500GB SSD
16 GB DDR3 Ram

I am looking at maybe a 1060 or 1060 TI. Or would the 1050 TI be plenty? Or one along these lines (suggestions)
Is there a band I should get or one to stay away from?

I only do light facebook games and some work on this PC. I do some older PC games.

Price to spend under 300$

Keeping all this in mind I want to upgrade my monitor next. I have a HP2011x.

Thank you for any thoughts.

Did you mean the 1660 ti? Make sure to get the 6gb version, the 3gb version doesn’t really cut it.

I went with the MSI (RX 570 ARMOR 8G OC)

Along with some new RAM Patriot 16GB (2x8GB) Viper III DDR3 1866MHz (PC3 15000) CL10.

My old RAM was Team Elite PC3 10600 666MHz 4x4Gb

Both will be here in 1-2 days and Ill report how it runs then.

Your current monitor is 1600x900 resolution, even an RX 570 4GB (which can be had for as little as $120 in the US (outperforms 1050Ti while being cheaper) would be more than enough.

If you're looking to upgrade your monitor, I would hold off on the order for the time being. Figure out what monitor resolution/refresh you're looking to get prior to making the video card decision.

Am I correct in assuming that your monitor upgrade will be for a monitor of 1920x1080 resolution?

If so, then I would concur, going with the RX 580 8GB.

I'm rather fond of the PowerColor - because I got that one for my son, so I have some experience with it, and it's $20 less than the MSI. I will also admit that I'm a little suspicious of the MSI Armor cooler. The Armor MK2 cooler appears to be better than the Armor, but is pricier.

I have all my upgrades installed and running.
As I stated I went with the RX 570 MSI 8GB. I change RAM from PC 10600 to 15000 and Monitor Dell D2719HGF.

The 570 seems to a great card. I am starting to play newer games and fond no problems so far. It runs quite and cool with stock settings. I see no need to OC. It is a major jump from my old GT730.

The new Dell monitor is a bigger WOW. Gong from a 20 inch to 27 inch at 144hz takes some getting use to but I love it. I will mount it to the wall behind my desk soon.\

Overall the upgrades have made my PC POP now. I should be happy for another 10 years. :)
