Upgrading to SLI with the same power supply?

Hi Guys.

This is my current set up:

Asus Maximus VII Hero
Intel i5 4690k 3.5Ghz Quadcore
MSI GTX 980
SeaSonic S12II-620w
Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR3
NZXT Phantom (8 LED Fans)

My question is this, I have been offered as a gift, a brand new GTX 980 and was wondering if a 620w PSU would be able to cope with both of these and not have any issues?

When look on PCPartPicker it seems to think that it will be fine but i thought i would check to be on the safe side?

Two 970s would warrant 750 watts
Two 980s would warrant 850 watts

A 980 and 970 will not SLI

I didn't say i was getting a 970 😛 don't worry i knew that at least 😉

No, 750w minimum but I would get 850w for more overhead and overclocking ability.

I'm sorry, I misread, I thot for some reason you had a 970 and were getting a 980. The PSU recommendations I made were correct at least .... edited original post to take 970/980 out
