[SOLVED] Upgrading to Windows 10 on new SSD

So I have bought a new SSD and I am currently on Windows 7. I was going to try and use the free upgrade to Windows 10 as I have read it still works however I want to install Windows on my new SSD rather than the HDD.

Do I need to upgrade first on the HDD then transfer Windows over to the SDD or is there a way to try and upgrade straight onto the SDD?

I would clone first, then do the Windows 10 upgrade. The clone process will take roughly the same amount of time either way, but the Windows 10 upgrade will go faster on the SSD.
