Hi Guys,

I have a question about the best way of going about this. I have an SSD which is my C: drive that has Windows 8.1 and a few applications on it, only 128GB so there isn't room for much. Most of my data is on a 1TB HDD along with most of my games and other applications.

If I were to just do an upgrade, would that keep all of the installs on the second drive in tact? I did a totally fresh install when I went from 7 to 8 and went through the process of copying all of the data back over from a backup after the OS install and then manually re-installing all of the apps. I'd rather not have to do this again, but is that the best thing to do? Thanks!

Solution
IDK about the 7-10 upgrade, but as far as I know, all Windows 10 TP upgrades have not done clean installs, so if you upgrade, I'm pretty sure that it won't reinstall. I would backup your data just in case.
