Upgrading to windows 10?

So i own an apple computer im thinking of making a custom pc gaming pc and i was wondering to have windoes 10 do i need to have windows 8 then upgrade to windows 10 or can i just buy windows 10 with out upgrading Thank you and please answer.Also can i just buy a dvd optical drive to run windows 10 or just a special optical drive .

You can buy Windows 10 outright if you want, price is usually the same. You just need a regular DVD drive or USB stick, and both versions can be purchased if you don't have a Windows PC that you can make an installer with.
