Upgrading to windows 8 from windows 7 pirated.

This question is actually two fold..
I've read in a few places that all you have to do is run upgrade assistant and it will charge you 70 $ instead of having to pay 150 $ for a brand new windows 8 pro.
I did that and it asked for 290 $ or something like that.
It might be because I'm in Lebanon.
Virgin megastore here in lebanon is selling the windows 8 pro upgrade pack for 70 $.. I'm wondering if I can buy it and use it to upgrade from my cracked windows 7 to legit windows 8.
To all those who are going to lecture me about piracy and how it's ruining America, your opinions are noted.

We can't help you with anything to do with pirated software, Tom's Hardware rules strictly forbid it, I suggest you buy your own full, legal copy of the OS.

I applaud you for doing the right thing and going legit, but you will need to buy a new licence rather than an upgrade. Once you have a legitimate licence, you can upgrade it as many times as you like in the future.
