Upgrading various PC Components

Hi, I need to ask something
I currently have a GTS 250 1 GB and I really need to upgrade, I can spend at most 140-160$$
Altough I don't know if my cpu is good enough..(Intel Core Duo E7500 2.93 GHZ)
And I have 6 GB ram

what about the cpu?
Would it be overkill a graphic card like that and my cpu?
