Upgrading WinXP box for old games

Hi, I'd appreciate help putting together a cheap upgrade build for playing ~15-year-old games (mostly Quake 3 engine and others of that era) on a box that will be running Windows XP Pro (gaming only).

I need a new CPU (these are CPU-heavy games), and therefore also mobo, RAM, PSU, GPU. I have everything else.

I'm not concerned with future-proofing for newer games, or resolutions higher than 1024x768. Any GPU equal to or better than my old GeForce 6800 Ultra will be plenty.

Four GB RAM is plenty.

Dual core CPU is more than enough; what's important is that it be fast enough to run these games at 125 fps (my old overclocked AMD Opteron was enough).

I understand that Intel chipset 7 is the last supported by WinXP, but it can be an earlier chipset if necessary to fit my budget, as long as my old games will run as well as they did in 2006 on my old box.

My budget is $200 (absolute max -- cheaper is better!).

Thanks!

What are you considering 'cheap'?

There are numerous i3-2130 based pre-builts for sale on eBay etc for somewhere in the $100-$150 range.

i3-2130, 6GB, 500GB HDD etc. $139.

i3-3220, 4GB, 250GB HDD.

The biggest issue I'm seeing is upgrading a PSU might be problematic/impossible in some pre-builts, and finding an older (operational!) board to build one from scratch will likely be expensive.
