Upgrading xw9400 with opteron 2431

Hi everyone i need help, i have xw9400 with 2 opteron dualcore processors, i recently purchased 2 opteron hexa core 2431, when i installed both there is no display only fan are runing continuesly when i stop them by holding start button they stoped but after turning on they dont strt supply... Only direct power starting them but no display kindly help what shd i do. I read many comment regarding same issue with others.

The HP docs say that should be a supported processor. Don't know if a BIOS update from your 22xx CPUs is required. A BIOS update would be my first recommendation. Put the old CPUs back and normalize the system. Then do a BIOS update.
