Question Upgrading

Hi i have a gtx 970 and im wondering if upgrading to a gtx 1070 is a good idea right now. Im also wondering if there is any other card that might be more worth to upgrade to?

For the price the 1660 ti may be a better option unless your getting the 1070 for a good deal. There's also the RTX 2060 if you want to use Ray Tracing.

At 1080P 6gb is plenty, I'm using 4gb on a RX 580 and even on higher settings it's peaking around 3.5gb.
