Hello everyone,

I am currently trying to upgrade my "old" laptop ASUS G752VY-GC118T. Comprehensive spec description there : https://icecat.biz/en-in/p/asus/g75...oks-4712900174090-g752vy-gc118t-30351254.html

I don't use it anymore for gaming, but for office related stuff, and the original SSD is a bit two small (SAMSUNG MZVLV128HCGR-00000 128,0 GB ; NVM Express 1.0/1.1).

What type of SDD could I use? There are two slots, so I was looking at buying for example two 500 go corsair gen 4 : https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Forc...ords=corsair+mp600&qid=1609529273&sr=8-1&th=1 , to setup a raid 1, additionally securing my data. What do you think?

what would you recommend otherwise ?

thanks a lot,

Seb

Solution
That laptop cannot utilize a PCIe 4.0 x4 SSD.
It will work, but not at the advertised speed of the drive.

Why not a known compatible drive PCIe 3.0, like a Smasung 970, Crucial P2, or Intel 660p.
