I've edited a movie and I want to export it to my camera. However I get a message saying the disk is write protected. The SD card isn't locked and I can record video fine. I presume it is the camera blocking this kind of transfer, any tips ??

Thanks in advance

I had not thought of the camcorder being connected to a projector so I understand now why you wanted to do it that way. I don't know of a way to get that to work. What input ports are available on the projector? I ask only because I was wondering if you had access to a laptop you could connect to the projector. I realize it would not be nearly as convenient.
Just out of curiosity, why do you want the video back on the camcorder? Since the card is in the camcorder when you attempt to copy the video have you tried removing the SD card and using a card reader? The camcorder may indeed be blocking the attempt to move the video to the SD card. However, moving the video to the SD card does not guarantee it will play back on the camcorder.

I wanted to play on a projector which connects neatly to my camera, but I've just realised that you are right that an edited video probably wouldn't play on the VC anyway. I did transfer it by SD card and the VC doesn't detect it.

I think I'm barking up the wrong tree.
