upnp and wifi access points

My home set up is a standard Netgear WNDR3400 Router linked to a DSL modem. It pushes out a 2.4ghz Wifi Signal.

I have a PowerLine Wifi Access point upstairs in the bedroom.

When my mobile device hops between the two access points (they have the same SSID) it loses sight of my UPNP Media Renderer - a Jongo A2 - (also connected to the Wifi network in another part of the house). In theory, this shouldn't happen, right?

See if this happens with other streaming things, play a YouTube/Netfix/shared file and see if the drop happens with those as well.

Keep in mind that buffering may hide if this issue happens.

Make sure the firmware is updated on both devices, they are on the same security options and are on different wireless channels.

Thanks. I'll try the different channels point at the weekend. I think it might also be something to do with the UPNP settings on my Netgear Router. I've tweaked them a bit.
