my ups beeps when i try to play games at high res(1920x1080) with all the settings set to high.My GPU is a MSI gtx550ti 1gb Gddr5 and PSU is a 450watt one with dual 12v rails.Though the game runs smoothly when i run it,but suddenly the ups gives out continous beeps and then my pc shuts down. Now i am not sure wether i need to change my UPS or PSU..BTW my UPS is a 725VA one,a local brand..Can anyone help please!!

I had a system where the UPS would beep whenever the operator saved complex image data to the disk. Best we could figure is that this disk was idle until the data save function was used and when the data disk spun up to speed the extra current draw would make the ups beep and show a red warning light. After the data was saved, the light would go out and the beep would stop. Of course, there were two other computers hooked onto this ups and it was working near its limit. The extra current draw from this computer when it cranked up one of its drives was enought to give a warning, but it never shut down [although sometimes it would freeze up]. After putting this computer on its own ups, the problems went away. Check your UPS and power supply ratings. Maybe your power supply can't support the extra load during the high res games or the ups is near its limit for current draw.

A good 725VA (watts) UPS system can easily support a good 450 watts PSU. In your case it doesn't. I would check the PSU first; 450 watts is borderline for the GTX550Ti especially at high settings.

This can be tested rather easily by eliminating the UPS from the loop. Plug in the computer directly to the wall outlet and then run the same game that you were playing. If the computer shuts down, then it is the PSU; underpowered for the application.

i have the same problem, whenever i play a game on full settings or when i do heavy 3d renderings that stresses my cpu and gpu my Ups starts beeping until the system turns off . Im using a Cyberpower 425 va and my psu is a 660w seasonic.

Your ups is under powered for the system. Probably need a 600-800VA UPS.

update how did you fix it my friend?
i run excactly into the same problem.
when i play dota 2 or shatered skies after some period of time ups will start beeping untill i shut down my pc!

an expert said, that it might be from the bad wiring in my home but i still have a sucpicion that its from a weak UPS hmm...

thank god ill loook into it in fact im waiting for my brother to check with a multimeter the current in in and out just to make sure
but ye i still believe its the weak ups

example
i run a game
i play for 30 minutes or something
ups starts beeping
i close the game
ups stop beeping after 30 sec+

Update:
ended up not being the ups i got one much stronger and still same thing then i found out that the techicians were right its from outside i need to call the providers they will fix it
