Question ups failure or pc?

Hello, my PC has the following specs:
Ryzen 5 3600
16gb of Corsair lpx ddr4 RAM
Aorus b450 m
Rtx 2060
Thermaltake smart series 600w 80+ psu

Today I wanted to play rdr2 and as soon as the character showed on screen, my surge protector which is a 500va external ups started beeping and turned off... that happened twice right now...
Also I have the PC plugged to that surge protector and a spectre 165hz 24' monitor....
Can someone help me determine what could be the cause of the issue? (I don't have a watt meter or something like that right now)

Did you look at the UPS manual? It might have different beeps to tell you wat's wrong.
Also obviously you could try and downclock CPU and GPU to see if the power draw is the cause, since you mentioned a watt meter.

I did, the ups manual says that the beeping means failure, that's all it says... Can sudden spikes of consumption mean that my power supply or system is failing? My setup is a year old and this never happened before with that ups.

That's a terrible PSU to be pairing with that system. Never skimp on PSUs. Get a Corsair CX 650 or something.
