I hope I post the question in the right place. I have tried figuring out how much UPS capacity is the right one for my PC, but the more I search, the more confusing it is. I'm not a tech guy, so perhaps that's why. I tried online UPS calculator with no luck. Could someone please help me determining the required UPS capacity for me? I just need 5-10 minutes to properly shut down my PC when I have the black out. I plan to purchase APC 1000va 600w. Is it enough? Overkill? What is your suggestion. Thank you. I really appreciate the help.

My spec is:
i7 6700k
Mobo Z97 gaming 3
VGA Asus Nvidia 1070ti
24GB Ram DDR3
PSU VS 550
1x 1TB internal HDD
2x 2TB external HDD

Based on the specs I would think so. You aren't likely to ever be running a full load on your system under regular use, and the whole idea is the shut down. So once it trips you should immediately be closing applications and preparing the system for shut down.
Hmm, I would say that is borderline. If you plan to run ONLY the PC, then maybe. But if you want your monitor, modem, etc to be covered as well, I suggest going up a size.

Bigger is better when it comes to UPS, also leaves you room to upgrade PSU and GPU in the future.
