Ups installing

Hello,
i bought a new ups. the ups does not have a usb port. how do i connect the ups with my pc. there is only the same port as the one that connects my monitor to the pc. but my pc only have one port like that. how can i connect the ups to the pc now so that i can monitor it?

are you on a laptop, desktop, other?
you want to run software to monitor battery status?

The port you state is the same as the one your monitor uses is actually not. Look at how many rows of pins it has, monitor has 3 rows of pins, I'm betting the UPS has 2.

If you look at the manual that came with the UPS, all will be explained.
