Hello, I'm finishing my PC and I would like to add some extra protection because the electricity at my place isn't the best. I'm not really interested in having power minutes after a blackout, but I'm really interested in protecting my equipment.
I will plug two things in the UPS/Surge Protector:
- PC with Corsair RM750x (i7 8700, SSD, Only one GPU in the future, GTX1080 or GTX1170)
- ASUS PG279Q
I currently own an Anker surge protector (https://www.anker.com/products/variant/powerport-strip-6-outlet-4-usb-port/A2764121)
Well, my questions are:
- I'm safe with the Anker?
- Would be better to get an APC surge protector? Which one? Any recomendations?
- Does UPS protect better? Or only adds the battery?
I've access to APC products here and the pure sine wave UPS is really expensive, so I was wondering to purchase only a really good surge protector.
I truly appreciate the answers and the time to elaborate them.
Thanks.
