Hi,

i would like to buy a UPS for my PC. We have ~weekly power outages, also very often voltage variation.
My PC runs 24/7, is an office PC, not a server.
I need a UPS exclusively for my central unit. Monitor is not important will take a break while power failure.

My config:
Dell Precision T1700
i7 4790
24GB memory
GTX1650
2xSSD

Would be nice a UPS which lasts 1h or more.

Any recommendations would be helpful.
Thanks, Toni.

An hour of UPS power is a very large UPS. Typical runtime for a UPS is 10min.
There are UPS units which can have supplemental batteries added.
What country are you in ? What is your mains voltage ?

Hi,

thanks for the reply.
Romania, 230V
I would recommend you go to apc.com Pick Romania as the country and start with the "Smart-UPS" devices. Click on the SMX750INC for example. Then click on the "Technical Specifications" When you scroll down you will see a link to the runtime graph. On the runtime graph you will see different durations depending on how many supplemental batteries you add.
To get your 1 hour support, you probably need 1 supplemental battery pack.
It will be expensive. A less expensive alternative is to buy a used commercial unit, that supports the battery expansion. Then buy new batteries for it. A quality UPS is expensive.
