Hello all,

My Power Supply is
Cooler Master VANGUARD 1000 Watt
AC Input 10 -240V 12-6A 60-50Hz

I am wondering what is the UPS specs I need for that?

Blackouts happen weekly in my town.

Any suggestions please? Thank you

im not an expert, but, it depends on the consumption of the rig. Even if you have 2000w psu, if you only have a typical setup, which usually consumes 300-400w, then you dont need too much.

maybe 500w? my point is that, it depends on the real consumption, not the capacity of your psu

I see, here is my specs

Solution

Wow, thanks for the elaborate explanation and solution!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you

Either one should work. The Prolink UPS' are older design units.

I would recommend the Prolink PRO1200 because it has better battery capacity.

UPS compatibility with a computer's power supply unit is not guaranteed.

In some cases a computer's PSU requires a UPS that outputs a pure sine wave. The Prolink UPS' output a Synchronized Stepped Waveform.

When there is an incompatibility the UPS will not switch over to battery backup mode during a power interruption event or the UPS will switch over with audible humming and groaning sounds and then shut itself down without allowing the computer to shut itself down properly.

Ask your vendor if you can return the UPS if you find out that it is incompatible with your PSU.
