Can i put 400 watt load on a 600VA-360 watt line interactive UPS under mains power ?
Since line interactive ups switches to battery only when mains power is not present .

Actually my system draws peak 380 watts at max load .Most of the times it draws around 60-70% of the peak value .I want to know if a 600VA -360 watt ups is enough for me .
PS -i do not want more than 2 mins of battery backup In case the main power fails .

You would be right on the edge to a little bit over. I think the UPS will probably complain about overload if you ever hit that 380W. APC doesn't have a 600VA line interactive to check the specs. But their 600VA shows 100% load of 330W. Their 650VA shows 390W max. I personally wouldn't cut it that close. I would think an 850VA would be more appropriate.

in my country only two models are available 600VA-360 watt ( https://www.apc.com/shop/in/en/prod...hout-Auto-Shutdown-Software-India/P-BX600C-IN ) and 1.1KVA-660 watt (https://www.apc.com/shop/in/en/prod...out-auto-shutdown-software-India/P-BX1100C-IN )
I wasn't planning to spend much on ups but just to be one the safe side seems that i need to go for the 1.1 KVA model
