UPS Sugession Required

Hi There....

In my office they are palnning to have a new server and we are going to change the entire network setup. We planning to have APC UPS. I want to know which specification i need to select. In my office there are 82 user are working. I want to use that UPS to provide power to all the 82 user. Is it possible? If it is possible which Kva i need to select. Please let me know if you have any sugessions.

Note : There is no UPS Setup has beed done previously.

Hi

If you do not know the answer to your question you should not be managing a new server roll out.

The server needs a good quality UPS, you need to know the required runtime of server on ups after power failure

If you only have local PC's which will all be off if mains electrical power fails you only need time to shut down the server.
If you have remote users or wide area network or Internet website you may want a longer run time but will need to have ups for switches etc as well as server

it would get very expensive to have UPS for all or most PC's on premises.
