Hi there,

I just bought a "https://www.tripplite.com/line-inte...regulation-schuko-outlets-usb-port~AVRX750UD/" mainly for surge protection only, that I'm gonna be using with my 800 watts gaming rig.

My questions here are, does this line interactive feature work on the "Surge-only" protected outlets?

Also I know that putting my rig on the "Battery backup/surge" protected outlets will overload it, but would it do the same for the "Surge-only" outlets?

Solution
Hi ViTRuSs

usually this Line-Interactive feature only interacts with the battery of the UPS, so the surge only most likely are just pass through connections of the wall outlet.

BTW. :I doubt that your 800 Watt system will overload it in normal use. Most systems need less than 500Watt at max.

Thanks so much for the info! Was quite helpful.

I've got one more question though: would it be ok if i plug the ups into a multi plug adapter like this one "https://www.waysexpress.com/superma...ult/multi-plug-fused-adapter-3-way-socket.jpg", or would it be too much at this point?

I recommend you to buy online UPS for your system. because an online ups will resolve 9 problems including surge protection. And if you need line interactive then only use APC Line interactive UPS. it will be good. Moreover it is ok to use multi plug to power up your UPS

JUST TAKE CARE ABOUT THE AMPERE RATING OF MULTI PLUG. IF YOUR LOAD IS 800 WATT. IT MEANS AMPERES ARE 800/230 OR 800/110 (IF SUPPLY IS 110vOLTS). SO AMPERE WILL BE 4 OR 8 (FOR 110). PUT A SAFETY FACTOR OF 25% AND YOU WILL GET 8X1.25= 10 AMPERE. SO MAKE SURE YOUR MULTI PLUG SHOULD BE NOT LESS THAN 10 aMPERES. Furthermore i am an electronic engineer and will design any electrical solution for you as well. you can check my services https://www.fiverr.com/arabic_desire/design-electrical-equipment-room
