(Urbz Advance) xxxNotUsed

I've just gotten back from the Bayou in the GB Advance
version of "Urbz: Sims in the City", and I find in my
inventory that I'm the proud owner of one "xxxNotUsed -
Locket 2nd half". This looks like a bug wherein somehow
the pseudo-item that the game uses internally to track
the status of the Bayou quest ended up stuck in my
inventory. I can't seem to sell it or drop it or give
it away so far (although I'll keep trying). Has this
happened to anyone else, and is there a solution?

(I tried to look at the EA forums about Urbz, but the
site is so flash-heavy and complicated that I never
managed to actually access the forums, if there are
any, sigh...)

Yep, thanks! Like I said, I'm back from the Bayou, and I
gave the real locket to whichever one it was. My guess as
to why this happened is that the first time I beat the Red Man
at the fiddling contest, my pockets were full, and that confused
the program. I've written programs like that! *8)

I've now tried every way I can think of to get rid of it (giving
it as a gift, selling it at the thrift store or to the drifter, putting
it down indoors or out, etc), and none work. So I'm resigned
to just having it in my inventory. It also seems to be messing
up Thrift Store auctions (the screen is all messed up in them, and
I can't seem to actually start the bidding on anything). So I hope
those aren't important anywhere later in the game...

Did you get both halfs and already give them to one of the Bayou Bros.?

Yipes now in Episode Five Roxie Moxie's given
me a goal in which she says "empty your
pockets first", which is worrying since I can't
empty my pockets because this phantom
item is stuck there. Or on the other hand
maybe it'll forcibly empty my pockets,
which would be good...

I guess I'll see as we go along.

Well, that was okay. Roxie just meant I should have like
one slot open in my inventory. So the rogue item was no
problem... DC

Okay, so it turns out the game can be beaten (or at least the main
story; there's a statue of me in the city center there and all)
with the xxxnotused item still sitting there taking up space in
the inventory. Hopefully that applies to the RepGroup missions
and all, also (or at least the ones that I feel like trying to
achieve...). DC
