URGENT: 4k gaming 390x vs 290x cf

So it seems certain that the 390x won't be anything less than $700 upon release whilst the 290x is now $300 each so two cost $600. Its very unlikely that the 390x would be over 50% better than the 290x by itself (even given the most optimistic rumours) and since adding a second 290x produces a 85% performance increase on average than it would seem that 2x290x would be better value for money and be more powerful (though it takes alot of power. What do you guys think? Get 290x CF now and upgrade in few years time as price goes down for 390x or other cards?

Card isn't even out yet. Speculation is that it'll beat a Titan X which already is close to an R9 295x is some scenarios so I'd say wait for it's release

Just wait...although youll probably have to wait after its release for a while. It'll be out of stock in the first few weeks(lots of people buying I'm sure)

I didn't know the 390X was out. But of course if it is then 390X will be better even than the GTX 980.

If you already own 1 290x and all you need is to buy 1 more I think I would do that for the time being, and by the time the 390x has released and prices have settled down by the end of the year if he 290x cf isn't doing it for ya sell them and grab a 390x. My 290x cf do very well at 4k.
