URGENT! First MONSTER PC build! Need help with parts.

This is going to be my first Pc build and wanted to know if my parts would be decent for certain games, such as Far Cry 3, Crysis 3, Watch Dogs, and Last Light. I hoping for at least 40+ fps on Ultra at 1080p. And I'm trying to keep this build under $1,300. Willing to stretch budget a little, if necessary.

GPU: MSI r9 280x or 290. Switched from GTX 770 not too sure between the two.

CPU: i5 4670k. Switched from FX-6300 after hearing it would bottleneck my graphics cards.

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium

I've already gotten a case, but what I'm worried about is that the GPU are said to be loud. I'm heading off to college soon and don't want it to sound like a plane taking off from my dorm. Could I just put acoustic foam on the inside of my PC to dampen the sound? Now I'm not too sure if I've chosen a power supply that would be enough for all the parts. Again this is my first build so not too sure. If you think another component would be better than the one I chose please let me know. I want this thing to smash new consoles!

Well, that rig is nice. But changing gpu from gtx 770 to r9 280x is not any upgrade at all. You should get r9 290 or keep the current gpu. Rest all is fine. even the psu is strong enough to handle crossfire.
Unless you get a non-refernce r9 290 you will get bit of a moise. So make sure to get non-ref r9 290.

There's harldy much difference between r9 280x and gtx 770. Some r9 280xs are better than gtx 770 and some are not, It depends on which one you get.
I would definitely avoid getting reference r9 290 because it is loud and heats up till 95 C. So I would get non-refernce r9 290 design which is not so loud has more and better fans for better temps and is slightly overclocked. In short, avoid getting r9 290 which looks like this.

Hi - Non Reference cards are pretty much any card you would consider. The AMD & Nvidia partners (EVGA, ASUS, Sapphire, MSI, Gigabyte, & others) generally take the original release and improve or otherwise tweak, usually cooling, clock speed, and even requiring more power than the original reference model.

Nice build, and 750w is more than enough for any single GPU system. One suggestion I would offer (if it fits within your budget parameters) given the level of the CPU and GPU is to step up from a budget level PSU such as the CX series.
