*URGENT* GPU help

I have installed my new *used*graphics card. I can get in the BIOS and the card is being detected. I am using Zorin OS and this is as far as I can get.

BIOS, choosing what to do (Zorin Zorin advanced options mem test mem test 2.)

After then normally then the Zorin OS logo would flash then boot into the desktop. But the logo wouldn't flash and the when I end up getting to the desktop it would be blank. When I try to open terminal (CRTL+ALT+T) a bunch weird lines would show up in the shape of the terminal would show up. What do I do?

it sounds like zorin's graphics driver isn't quite ready for primetime. what model is the new used GPU?

It is the Radeon HD 7750

if your choices are "Zorin, Zorin advanced options, memtest, ..." then that's not bios. that's the bootloader most likely. there's an incompatibility somewhere.

No what I meant is I can get into the BIOS then exit and continue booting and then it gives me options to choose if I want to boot into Zorin then Zorin advance options mem test and then mem test 2

so what happens if you highlight Zorin and press enter? I still think it's a half baked driver. try using your old video solution, which I assume worked, and boot up, install the latest AMD drivers for Zorin (I think AMD has linux drivers on their website), then reboot, shutdown, change GPU, then reboot and see what happens.

Normally the Zorin OS logo would show and then flash. But it doesn't. When it ends up getting into the desktop it would have a weird pattern only on certain parts of the monitor when I up up terminal it would have the weird pattern but in the form of the terminal window
