Urgent HD 7770 problem

Hi, I bought a used Sapphire HD 7770 from eBay and I have tried to install it and it's not working.these were the steps I took:

Downloaded AMD driver detector software from Sapphire site

I uninstalled the Ge force GT 610 drivers (in safe mode)

I switched off PC and installed HD 7770

Now when PC starts I just get a black screen with the mouse only being visible if it's moved.

It POSTs fine but after the Windows 8.1 loading screen it just goes black

Please help me!!!

does the 7770 run fine in safe mode?

Sorry for the late reply, I cant even get into safe mode. I try pressing f8 and shift+f8 at startup but it just goes straight into the |Windows loading screen.

Do you have another pc to try the card with? You did plug in the 6-pin power?
Or could be a bad card

Yes I plugged the 6 pin connector in. I tried using the on-board HDMI port but that literally didn't display anything - not even the POST. I put my GT 610 back in and that displayed everything fine. Do you think I am doing something wrong before physically installing the card like not uninstalling all of the previous drivers or something?

Okay. I might try again tonight and make sure. If it's dead, I'll contact the seller for a refund.

If you plug it in another system, and still don't work, then yes, contact the seller for refund. Sorry about your card.

To be honest I haven't got another system. Ill try the card again.
