Hello guys,
I urgently need your help with a problem which I have since 3-4 days - I tried EVERYTHING, but nothing works!!
Last weekend, I had to force a shut down on my computer. Since then, my 1080ti SLI are not capable of running any games with their full performance!
For example The Witcher 3... You surely know that 1080ti SLI should easily manage 4k 60fps - well, it was like this before the forced shut down.
Now, when I start the game, my max FPS is something like 35-40. I can also see that one of the GPU's doesn't have his maximum clock. Usually I've got like 1985mhz when I start gaming, but one of the GPU's only has like 1600mhz sometimes.
I tried other games too - like Crysis 3 or Far Cry Primal - but in every game, my GPU's are underperforming MASSIVELY.
However, if I open benchmarking tools like FurMark or Heaven, everything is working normally. I'm getting like 150fps on Furmark with 4K.
Some of the things I tried: Updating BIOS ; maximum performance settings in nVidia and Windows ; uninstalling GPU drivers with DDU ; Removing the overclock on GPU's and CPU ; benchmarking my CPU and RAM (everything stable).
If I'm being honest with you: I'm afraid that one of the GPU's is damaged.. But I honestly can't understand, how a forced shutdown can damage a GPU!?
I'm very, very frustrated and sad. I hope that you can help me!
Thank you!!
MY SPECS:
CPU: i7 6700k @4,7 ghz (watercooled)
RAM: 16 GB (Corsair Vengeance, 3000mhz XMP-profile)
MOBO: Asus Maximus VIII Ranger
GPU: 2x MSI 1080ti Gaming
PSU: beQuiet Dark Rock 1000W
