Urgent Help needed

Ok so ever since i purchased my computer when i turned it on the monitor would stay black until i reached the login screen. I just tried system restoring and because the monitor doesnt recognise the computer, im now stuck with a computer that wont work, i need help. Is there a way to reset the computer to factory settings. Maybe without a monitor.

Because right now all i have is a computer i cant use. My last resort is going to some sort of IT specialist, but i already spent enough money on the computer

is this a windows based PC? what brand is the monitor?
Try pressing the 'del' key repeatedly just after powering on the system... it should take you to the bios... if this happens, then it is probably due to a corrupt OS... try system restore from safe mode...

Can you go to the BIOS? If you can get into system restore and BIOS, it may not be the monitor's issue. It is maybe OS/Hard drive related issue. Try a different OS or Hard drive if you can.

No, as soon as i turn on my computer the screen doesnt change from a black screen. How do i try a different OS? And i have 2 1TB HDD in my computer, how would i go about knowing which is the primary one?

Yes windows 7, Benq 23 Inch

Pressing the del key does nothing at the moment, the screen is still blank

Dont have another GPU, might be able to find another monitor though

I fixed everything by plugging in the HDMI into the GPU instead of the CPU
