Bill Hilly579 :
im having an issue yet still not able to find a solution for it where my pc screen will randomly go blank.it will happen at random times and suddenly.at first i thought it was a faulty display port so i got a new one but still the issue persists.i tried rolling back my intel graphics drivers and even installing the latest version but issue is still there.when the random blank screen kicks in windows makes a sound as if i plugged or unplugged a usb device.the only way i can get rid of the blank screen is if i put my pc to sleep and turn it back on,hard reset my pc with the reset button on it or unplug the display port from the monitor and reconnect it.im at the moment out of ideas as i tried everything to fix the problem and unfourtently nothings work and this is the exact reasion im making this thread and that is to seek some advice to resolve this endless issue so if anyone can help please do not overlook this thread.advice and assistance is apreciatted.(btw my pc is using intel graphics 530)

which GPU and monitor do you have ?
try going into BIOS and disable the onboard graphics, run either only GPU or only the onboard graphics, not both. Sometimes they conflict, actually, quite often.
have you tried running HDMI or DVI instead of Display Port ? Also, I know you tried it both on GPU and onboard graphics, so you switched the ports on the motherboard end and problem persisted, but have you switched the port on your monitor ? I don't know your monitor but mine has 2 DP ports and 2 HDMI ports.
could also be the cable, hence if you try DVI or HDMI, by default you'll test that out as well.
when your screen goes black, do the LEDs on your mobo blink or anything ? or the GPU ? or do the fans pause or slow down on any components ?
hardware wise you can do the generic stuff that never hurts, unplug everything, clean it out, plug it back in double checking all connections, if one of your connectors, or pins on them is coming loose you may get these sort of symptoms.
as far as windows goes, drivers conflict can cause stuff like this to happen. if you are running 2 different displays on same system, like the integrated and a GPU then you need to disable one and clean uninstall the drivers for both, then re-install latest drivers for the display you are actually using, but not the other.
i would also check temps, if something is on its way out it can spike your temp quite quickly, run HWMonitor and keep an eye on max temps when it comes back after the black screen.
last but not least, wiggle and jiggle your connectors and wires when the machine is running, just be careful and dont prick yourself with some electricity. see if you get a black screen during the wiggling and jiggling.
