URGENT HELP!

i recently installed a CPU into my motherboard just a day ago..
AMD Phenom II x4 965

and i've noticed so far that on standard idle i get 62 degrees Celsius is this normal ? and if not what can i do to solve this problem! ?

No that is way too high!!! Did you apply thermal grease to the cpu? Turn your pc off now! This is nothing to play around with!

What kind of CPU cooler did you use? What were the Idle temps before the cpu changeout? What thermal paste was used? What are your system specs? Is the system crashing?

I was getting a max load temp of 62C with stock cooler. I picked up Zalman9900 heat-sink and now I've never seen it go over 50C under max load. I would recommend getting a better cooler and some arctic silver 5. That temp is to hot for idle.

Ohh never mind! i realized that was the temp at 100% lool when i was playing a game whiles GTA 4 was running at the same time good thing i have 8gb ram xD

i get around 30-45 max temp when idle.
