I have a Sniper B6 mobo and an EVGA 750w G2 PSU. On my mobo's CPU power, there is a full 8 pin connector. On the PSU, said 8 pin connector goes into the PSU and a separate 2x4 pin CPU power cable. The cable, though, has one of the 2x4 cables that fits perfectly in 4 of the mobo's pins, and has square pins and those sorta rounded ones. Great. But the other part of the cable is just the rounded ones, which looks like it doesn't fit, but I can click it into place like the other cable without ramming it in. Is this okay? Would it fry my mobo or CPU when turned on? If not, how can I fix it?

Solution
CPU 1 power should go to the mobo. A 2x4 and a 8x1 are the same thing as long as it fits onto CPU 1. You cannot go wrong with plugging it in because of the design is like that for a reason :)

Yeah, it fits, it's just that one of the connectors has different shaped connectors than the one on the mobo, but it clicks into place normally. So is it okay?
