Long story short I cleaned my PC a few hours ago with an air duster and damp cloth. I don’t think I touched anything with the damp cloth that would have hurt it and it’s been a few hours since then anyway.

When I boot up my PC and open HWMonitor it says all my cores are are 95-100c (200f)

My nzxt kracken x62 pump has its lights on so I’m pretty sure the pump is working also all my case fans including the ones on the radiator are running full speed.

I’m lost as what I should do. I don’t want to keep turning it on and fry my CPU and I don’t have any other cooler right now.

Please help thanks

The failure of the liquid cooler normally causes an increase in the gradual temperature. If the increment is from the first moment it denotes rather that the cooler does not make good contact with the processor.

I should change the thermal paste and reapply again. A thermal paste can be years in the processor without problems, but if for any reason the cooler moves it is essential to change it because it is dry and will not make good contact.

Update: I took off the kracken and put on my old stock intel cooler with the old thermal paste and it’s idleing at 36c. Just trying to figure out what I did during cleaning that would break the kracken.. all lights work and rad fans. Just seems as if the pump is toast. Any insight would be greatly appreciated
