i need your help

I just purchased an Asus H81T mobo
http://

the thing is
as you see in the manual(page 23,number 7)

this mobo is powered by an external dc power supply(same as a notebook-laptop???)
and an internal 2-pin power connector ATX19V1
while my psu,has a 1 x 24 / 20-Pin motherboard connector and
1 x 8 / 4-Pin EPS / ATX 12V connector(400mm)

1)Is there a way(4 to 2 pin adaptor???)that i can make my psu work for my mobo?
Is my psu an overkill eitherway for this mobo?

2)Are there any compatible psu's for a mobo like this(if so,links please)???
as i prefer the psu solution than the external supply(its a mini-itx case build)



As for the external power supply
i cannot find one that is 19v1(i dont know what the 1 stands for.please enlighten me)
with the wattage that my build needs(200w) according to online psu calculators
and previous builds



Please,if you are not sure about the answers,don't confuse me further
as im already going bananas here
and i simply can't give the mobo back for several reasons

1) This mobo has no PCIe slot, so the only graphics that can be used is the CPU one.
2) The PSU you linked will need cable change. Voltage is right, but the plug is wrong. Thin ITX boards take 7.4x5.0mm plug with center pin. Almost any big enough (120-180W) Dell laptop PSU (eg PA-4E) will work out of the box, as Dell likes this plug very much. I personally have HP LA03 brick, but it seems HP uses this plug only for heavyweight champions, so Dell is a safer bet.

Depending on a CPU, 180W cpu is max this board will ever need, which includes about 30W margin for driving an LCD. I have no idea how OP came to 200W conclusion - the biggest CPU you can put in there is 84W so with a hdd and LCD it's still way under 180W.
I've used 90W PSU on similar board and it was enough for 53W CPU + ssd.

19V1 means "19V connector, number 1", just like dual-socket mobos have "12V1" and "12V2" connectors for each CPU.
Regular ATX PSU is completely unsuitable for thinITX board. PSU doesn't have rail the board needs (19V) and the board doesn't have "turn on" signal the PSU needs. Plus, it doesn't make any sense, as the PSU will make the build very large while the point of thinITX is to be very small.

My build:
GA-H81TN thin-ITX board
Pentium G3220 dual-core 53W + akasa CC7129 21mm thick cooler
HP LA03 180W laptop power brick
Hynix 256GB mSATA ssd, plugged right into mobo
2x8GB 1.35V SO-DIMM ram
Monitor is external, with it's own power (no direct LCD via LVDS - yet)

Computer is about 17x17x4cm big. The freakishly large PSU adds another 17x8x4cm under the desk, I need a smaller one!
