URGENT Question on RAM and KITKAT OS

hi I have 2 questions

1) is KitKat os fine in 2016 . I like 2 models of HTC.. but both have KitKat os..... will the phones support future apps and updates of current ones?. no hopes for lollipop or marshmallow update on both.( budget constraints.)

2) one has 1 GB ram and 8MP front cam .... other has 2GB ram and 5MP front cam... which is a better choice? I do play games like asphalt 8......

1) Kitkat is just fine. Heck even andriod 2.3 is still a big part of the andriod user base and that came out ages ago and because of andriods amazing backwards compatibility most apps still run fine on the old 2.3.

2) I don't know could you please list the phones here so that I can do a little comparison between them.

1) I don't know. It probably will because why would a company want to lose a big part off the consumer base.

2) May I suggest another phone that is better than those 2? It's the asus zenphone 2 same budget range and just better overall. If you are buying one off those htc's then I would recommend the desire 626 it has a better camera sensor (just put the photo quality down to 8mp or so for more light absorption. This results in better pictures.) and is overal just better. However DO get the octa core version not the quad core.
