URGENT win10 Install help

So my question is, iv used the windows 10 setup tool from MS. It has downloaded windows 10 and all that, and its in a folder called ESD on c drive. im running 8.1. My question is can i run the upgrade setup from c drive? i used to have windows 10 and tried to goto 7, the win7 iso was on c drive, it ran the setup radeyda but when it rebooted it started booting 7 but the setup had not finished, and it kept freezing as if it had lost the path to the setup files. Im wondering if upgrading from 8.1 to 10 (as the win10 setup files are in root of c drive) will i experiance this problem? or will the upgrade just run, restart into the setup process of 10? coz i dont want the install to "forget" where the setup files were. if this makes sence. please help i need to know asap. PS windows 8.1 is crap

You can't install on a drive, from that same drive.

Get a 5GB or larger USB stick and install from that.

Use the media creation tool to dump the ESD ISO straight on to a USB and then boot off that or start an upgrade or clean install.

Unless you have previously upgrade from 8.1 to 10, it will not activate, we are passed the free upgrade period.

I mean, can i upgrade from the same drive? not reinstall but just upgrade with the official tool from ms that downloaded it the win10 install. because its asking me what i want to keep ect, like keep my files and personal information, so i pressume it would work? or no... i dont see why it would ask me to keep my programs n stuff otherwise.

Well...your initial post was all over the place. Confusing.
Win 8.1, then Win 7, then something was upgraded to Win 10....now a new install of Win 10.

What are you actually trying to do? From what OS, to what other OS?
