URU: power supply problems

When I quit my last session in Teledahn last week, for some reason I "turned
out the lights" in the Age before I left, by lowering the solar dish. When
I returned last night and powered up the solar plant, the whole Age had a
problem with power surge - the drivelines start and stop, the lights and
controls everywhere dim and brighten, and the cable car controls don't work
predictably any more.

Is it something I did? How can I undo it? I also notice that now, when I'm
at the far end of the drainpipe where I should be in almost complete
darkness, my avatar had a distinct shadow, and it moves around as if he was
outside under the moving sun. The (back of the) figure becomes quite
brightly lit at times. I don't remember this happening the first time I was
there. Any ideas?

Did you re-align the telescope with the sun?

Sure.

The power fluctuations don't coincide with the passage of the sun behind the
mountains, either, that I've noticed.

Well I guess you were right - when I went back last night, I found the sun
had "drifted" out of the focus. I know for a fact that it was centered when
I set it, I made a particular point of setting it right, so who knows?
Anyway, it works now, although I still get that weird shadow while I'm in
the pipe... Thanks for making me go back and look.

BTW, could you give me a clue about the procedure in the slave cave? I
can't seem to get the number sequence with the floor plates to do anything.
Simply stepping on them in (3rd floor map) order obviously doesn't do
anything, and I've even tried jumping up and down on them - I afraid I just
don't "get it"...(sigh)

I already tried putting one on each plate (in order). Was that it? I'll
try it again, now that the power is steady... Thx

Look through the cage doors, do you say anything special?
