I have a problem with usable RAM. I have 6.00 GB of installed RAM memory and 5.45 usable, but I have recently had problems with ETD.sys. ( fixed it ) Usable RAM was normal, but one day when I pressed the power button to turn on the laptop, there was a black screen and it disnt start but the power button flashed. ( it flashes when the laptop gets turned on ). I shut down, tried again nothing. I waited a bit and blew the fan and it started normally but it was lagging. I checked usable RAM and it showed 1.45 GB. I fixed it using msconfig and it got to 4.51 and wouldnt go back to 5.45. I was fine with that because it wasnt lagging. However, it would work normally a few days then revert back to 1.45. I resetted the laptop, it was 5.45 GB again but would go back to 1.45. I noticed when I drain the battery it would get fixed ( back to 4.41GB ) but resetting, battery drain or msconfig doesnt seem to work now. Any suggestions?
