USB 2.0 tranfer rate tooo slow

Guys i have USB 2.0 ports and i m getting only speed of just 1mbps........before it used to work at its usual speed but now it decreased i m havin a low speed..........Please help me guys !!!

what usb device are you using?

sandisk.......................Intel 82801G ICH Family USB

Have you tried it in another computer? if you still get the same speeds the USB drive may be damaged. if not sometimes the USB ports can go bad but still work but at a limited speed.

Also depends on what you are coping. If you copy like 1 Gig of small files it will slow down because its multiple files. If its one big like 300 meg video its different. I got a scandisk as well and i only get maybe 4-5 megabytes a second.

Guys thanks for your replies.......but solved the issue usb 2.0 controller is disabled in BIOS enabled it......working at its usual speed
